So, why should I vote for Kari Lake?

Her water plan.

If for absolutely nothing else, you should consider voting for Kari Lake because of what it would mean for Arizona’s ongoing water crisis. Kari even calls it “perhaps the single most critical issue facing Arizona today” on her official campaign website.

Kari has been working with community leaders and experts all across Arizona on a regular basis to address our water issues. Kari states “short term, that means increasing our storage capacity on the Salt & Verde River system by improving and expanding our dams and reservoirs, capturing storm runoffs, lining and covering our canals, and properly managing the forests and wildlife areas surrounding these critical rivers to prevent forest fires which cause significant damage to the river ecosystem. We also have to support responsible transfer of water rights, especially working with the various tribal nations throughout Arizona. Lastly, we need to expand effluent capture and purification.”

Kari notes how we do many great things with water already – managing it extraordinarily well – we need to plan for the future and take care of our local environment. We need to develop new and sustainable sources of water.

Kari recommends that the legislature look into desalination – something that has been extremely successful in Israel.

Kari also recommends that we explore pipelining freshwater from the Missouri or Mississippi River basins.

Kari says “These are proven technologies. They work. What will the cost be? Right now, we don’t know. In either case, the cost and scale will require Arizona to forge agreements with the federal government, other Western states, and Mexico. Whatever the price tag ends up being, it will be far less than the cost of a future without the water we need to survive.

We can’t do it alone, but we can do it. And the next Governor of Arizona must be the leader of this fight.

The upside is potentially enormous. An ample source of new water would carry with it the possibility of completely transforming the economies – and ecology – of this region. With plentiful water and extraordinary amounts of sunlight, Arizona would have about the best growing conditions of anywhere on the planet. Israel is rapidly turning the Negev Desert into one of the world’s great agricultural areas, we can do the same. But the benefits wouldn’t stop there. Reducing our dependence on existing groundwater and river resources will drastically improve the environmental conditions of those watersheds and our region as a whole.”

Preserve our water. Vote Kari Lake.

…but Andy Cohen called her a racist?

Kari Lake, despite being in a mixed-race marriage and regularly campaigning with African-American endorsee Christian Lamar, Jewish endorsee Alex Kolodin, Latino endorsee Gary Snyder, Asian-American endorsee Kim Yee, and countless other minorities running for office in the Arizona Republican Party, is still falsely and shamefully smeared as a racist by some journalists who only want clicks above all else – including the truth. Even PBS noted how “click-bait will be the death of journalism” back in 2016.

Kari Lake is running the self-proclaimed “most inclusive movement in AZ history” and has expressed deep disdain for racism.

Meanwhile, her Democrat opponent Katie Hobbs was found guilty by two juries of racial discrimination towards a former staffer, lawyer Talonya Adams.

The playbook of Democrats calling Republicans racists is getting extraordinarily old – especially since Arizona Democrats haven’t nominated an African American for a single legislative office in 2022 while the Arizona Republicans have nominated multiple. Also, you know, the whole Katie Hobbs being a convicted racist thing.

Get the government out of your home

“As Americans, we have the freedom to worship where, when, and how we choose. I will work with our legislature to pass a law preventing any government interference of this fundamental liberty under any circumstances.”

Tackling Homelessness

Despite having her detractors who misrepresent what she says and don’t actually listen to what she says, Kari Lake has a compassionate and all-inclusive plan to deal with Arizona’s growing homelessness crisis. Nobody deserves to be on the street – and families deserve the safest streets in the nation. Do you remember when it was safe enough to let the kids walk to school? We did.

“I am proposing the most extensive, aggressive and comprehensive approach to addressing homelessness and providing real treatment and support to people who are willing to accept it anywhere in the country. They will have beds, treatment, support, and hope. Those who refuse will find something else entirely: a state that simply isn’t willing to tolerate their abuses any more.”
